Measures against COVID-19
The wellbeing of our Guests and The Central Staff is of enormous importance, it is actually one of the founding values of our business model. We are therefore closely monitoring the developments of the Corona Virus spread in Europe, following prevention guidelines from local health department and the HORESCA (Fédération Nationale des Hôteliers, Restaurateurs et Cafetiers du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg).
Our Commitment to Cleanliness
The COVID-19 pandemic has required us to raise our cleaning standards to an even higher level with new arrangements for the current circumstances. We want our guests and our residents to know that we are ready to welcome them in a safe and clean environment. At The Central we will be using for everyday cleaning the highest classification of disinfectants recommended by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization to treat known pathogens.
In public spaces we have added to our already rigorous cleaning protocols, requiring that surfaces are treated with hospital-grade disinfectants and that this cleaning is done with increased frequency. In guest rooms we require all surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectants. We will also be placing disinfectants in each room for guests’ personal use.
Our cleaning staff has been trained to use these disinfectants with particular attention paid to high-touch items (such as but not only: light switches, doors handles, remote controls, toilet flush, shower control, sink faucets) because they have the potential to accumulate the most dirt and spread bacteria or viruses.
To help alleviate the risk of COVID-19 transmission through person-to-person contact, at The Central we have placed hand sanitizing stations near the entrances, at the front desks, elevator and fitness/wellness area.
In addition, guests can choose to use their phones to check-in, access their apartment, the garage and the fitness/wellness area. We are proud to be between the few establishments in Luxembourg City to offer technologically advanced “touchless” services, such as Mobile check-in/out and most importantly Mobile Key downloading on your smartphone the “SALTO JustIN Mobile App” (iOS version / Android version).
